Each of the new versions are now Codejock v15.2.1 Compatible.

Also, the SkinFramework Wrapper Template includes a Bug Fix - where one of the Fields was not included in the Export List for Multi Dll applications.

In this build, we've purposely moved as much generated code as possible into the Class.  This makes it easier to implement the control (eg, in a source procedure) and also allows for greater flexibility with other 3rd Party addons.  All of the previous embed points are still valid and have been automatically remapped into the new derived methods.  Now, there are no local procedures generated for you by the template - only derived methods - I'm sure you'll agree, a MUCH better approach.

This does mean however that if any of our more "advanced" users were manually calling any of the previous local procedures, these calls should now be replaced with a call to the new related class method.  Below is a list of the "user" local procedures that were previously generated and the corresponding new Class method that should be called.

For example purposes, it is assumed that the screen control is called ?ShortcutBar:Screen and that the new Class is called "ShortcutBar:Class" :-

Previous Local Procedure: Enable_ShortcutBar:Screen()  ->  New Class Method: ShortcutBar:Class.Enable()

Hi All,

As you are all probably aware, we are quite a bit behind schedule on rolling out the login details for the new web site - for this I apologize, it was not intentional, just a combination of bad planning and other emergency work that took precedence.

Now, for the future....

All users, past and present will receive their login details within the next week. The login link can be found at the top and bottom of all pages on our new look web site.

Work has already begun on the next set of releases and you can expect to see quite a few new templates and template updates in the coming weeks - I know I can say this with confidence because the work is already under way :-)

As for users who have already purchased a Maintenance Plan - many thanks for your purchase and kind support - it is much appreciated. To ensure that NOBODY is out of pocket because of the delays, all users will have 2 months added to their existing plan expiry dates - basically, if your plan started on Nov 1st 2010 and was due to expire on Oct 30th 2011, it will now be extended to Dec 31st 2011.

Any users who haven't purchased a Maintenance Plan and think that you have missed the 28 days deadline and have to use the 'Lapsed' plan option - you don't. I'm extending the cut off deadline by 2 months so basically, you now have 28 days from today to purchase a plan.

As per my previous posts, all users who have purchased the SuitePro bundle (including those without an Active Maintenance Plan), will still receive the initial release (v1.00) of the SyntaxEdit wrapper template along with v2.00 of the ReportControl wrapper template.

I hope everybody accepts my apologies for the delays and is happy with my offer of a further 2 months subscription free of charge. As I've previously stated, we're not out to "rip anybody off", we just want to ensure the future product life of our current template wrappers.

Noyantis Codejock Wrappers - roadmap

Hi All,

As you may be aware, we provide a suite of wrapper templates for the popular Codejock ActiveX controls, along with other Clarion templates.

Codejock have recently announced that they will soon be releasing a new line of Dashboard products including some powerful Charting and FlowGraph controls.  Their original plan was to launch these as a new, separate product – differing from their current SuitePro bundle.  They have now decided to include the new controls within their existing SuitePro bundle – great news for all current (and new) subscribers.  To cover the cost of the new additions, they plan on increasing the price of the bundle by $100 for new purchases and $25 for renewals (remember, these prices are before the CLARION 30% discount is applied).

What does this mean for the Noyantis Wrapper Templates?

We have always held off charging for updates but to ensure the longevity of the wrapper templates, we plan to introduce maintenance charges for our templates.  The choice will of course be yours, you can either choose to stay with your current version and pay nothing, you can pay per upgrade, or you can subscribe to an annual maintenance plan.

Single upgrades and lapsed maintenance plan    : 50% of retail price
Annual maintenance plan    : 20% of retail price

So, what will you get for your money?

Users on our annual maintenance plans will receive all updates to their purchased products.  The good news is that if you have purchased our SuitePro bundle, then the wrapper templates for the new line of dashboard products will automatically be included in your purchase – providing even further significant financial savings!

Users who purchase a single upgrade will receive the latest version that is available at that moment in time of the particular product(s) they have upgraded.

How will it work?

All new and past purchases will automatically include 12 months of updates from the purchase date.  For example, if a user had purchased the CalendarPro wrapper template on the 1st July 2010, then they would be entitled to all updates available until 30th June 2011 (inc).  It is important to stress that this will also apply to anybody who has purchased any of our products within the past 12 months – you will still have a valid subscription until your 12 month anniversary date.

Within the coming weeks, all of our customers will receive a unique User ID and Password.  This will be used to login to a “Members” area of our web site (new web site to be launched shortly).  In here, you will be able to see the products you have purchased, their upgrade expiry dates and their download links (if valid).

When will this take place?

Codejock plan on launching the first of their dashboard products in early November, and so, from the 1st of November 2010, the price of a single developer licence of our SuitePro bundle will increase by $55, taking it from $395 to $450.  The new bundle will match the Codejock SuitePro bundle product.  This includes the following:-

The wrapper template enabled you to add a fully functional HTML Editor / Viewer into you application in just a couple of minutes.

The capabilities of the nBit ActiveX control include:-

New User Forum and Support facilities

Over the coming weeks, you may notice some changes at our web site. Some of these will be visible and some will be how things are handled behind the scenes.

The first set of changes are a new User Forum, and a new Support Ticket system.

Although both of these are now live and usable, I still need to finish off some of the graphics and layout etc - please bear with us while these changes are completed.

Noyanits Software - gSec acquisition

Noyantis Software are pleased to announce the acquisition of the gSec 3rd party security template.

The gSec product was originally created by Gitano Software, then purchased and updated by Wingnut Solutions.
At this point, I'd publically like to thank Dave Hlavac from Wingnut Solutions for his help during the transition of ownership (and his offer of help in the future ) .

During the coming weeks, our first intention will be to review the template and bring it inline with our other templates. Once we are at this stage, we will make it available for purchase via our web site, Clarionshop and Motleysoft. Some upgrade options for existing customers will be available.

The next step for the gSec product will be to enhance it by adding new options and features etc - this is where you guys come into it! We'd love to hear from anybody who has had any gSec experiences (both Good and Bad), be it a quick feature request or a "I don't like..." - we want to hear it all.

Only by listening to your feedback and suggestions can we then move gSec on to the next level.
